Send us your Meta Business Suite exports.

Two quick exports from your Meta Business Suite (one Facebook, one Instagram). It takes 2 minutes and it unlocks the data we can't see from outside your account — reach, saves, audience demographics. Without it, your audit is half the picture.

If you do this in the next hour, we can fold it into your audit today. After that we'll start with what we have.

Meta keeps a second layer of data on your accounts that only the account owner can see. When you send it over, we fold it into your audit. It's the kind of thing that turns "what might be working" into "here's exactly what's working, and why."

01

Real reach, not just likes

Public data shows likes and comments. The exports show how many people actually saw each post — usually wildly different, and a much better signal of what's landing.

02

Saves & shares

Two of the strongest signals on Instagram, and both only visible to you. Knowing what people are quietly saving for later is often the single most useful data point in the audit.

03

Who's actually following

Age, location, gender, when they're online. With this we can tell you whether the audience you're reaching is the audience you're trying to sell to.

You'll do this twice — once for Facebook, once for Instagram. Same process each time, about 60 seconds per account. If you can use Facebook, you can do this.

01

Log in to Meta Business Suite

Meta's free dashboard for business accounts. Your Facebook login gets you straight in. Open the link in a new tab.

Open Meta Business Suite
Heads up If asked to pick a business account, choose the one that owns your Facebook page and Instagram account.
02

Click "Content" in the left menu

Once you're in, look at the menu running down the left of the page. Find Content and click it. This is where all your posts live.

Can't find it? On smaller screens the menu collapses to icons. Hover over the tall image icon — it'll expand and show "Content".
03

Click "Export" in the top-right

On the Content page, look to the top right. There's an Export button. Click it and a small options panel opens.

04

Export your Facebook data first

In the options panel, set these four things:

  • Account: select your Facebook page
  • Date range: set to the last 90 days
  • Content type: select Posts (not Stories, not Reels — just Posts)
  • Hit Export at the bottom of the panel. A file downloads to your computer
What format is the file? A spreadsheet (.csv or .xlsx). Don't open it, don't tidy it — just save it somewhere you can find it (Desktop or Downloads is fine).
05

Now do the same for Instagram

Click Export again. This time, where it says Account, select your Instagram account instead of your Facebook page. Keep everything else the same (last 90 days, Posts only) and hit Export. A second file downloads.

That's it You should now have two files on your computer — one Facebook, one Instagram. Move on to the upload section below.
06

Upload both files

Drag and drop them into the box in the next section, or click to browse. Once both are in, hit Send my exports. We take it from there.

Drag and drop up to two files (one Facebook, one Instagram), or click to browse. Files are private, used only for your audit, and deleted once your report is delivered.

    Quick answers

Common questions about the exports and what happens next.

Is it safe to send you this data? +

Yes. Your files are used only to build your audit and deleted once the report is delivered. We never share them, never use them for anything else, and we never need your login. The export is something you download yourself and upload here.

What if I only have one — Facebook or Instagram, not both? +

No problem. Just upload the export for the account you have. The audit works with either, both, or none — you'll still get your full report.

What if I can't find the Export button or something looks different? +

Meta occasionally moves buttons around. If anything in the guide looks different on your screen, email hello@basebrandsagency.com and we'll send a quick video walkthrough — or, if it's painful, just skip this step. Your audit goes ahead either way.

Can I upload the exports later if I don't have time right now? +

Yes. The link to this page is in your confirmation email. Upload within 12 hours and we can still include the data. After that, we'll have already started reviewing what we have.

What happens if I skip this step entirely? +

Your audit still goes ahead, just based on what we can see from outside your account. You'll get a solid, honest report — it's just a little less detailed than the version with your exports. Totally your call.
